Assembly and installation of a keepSafe shelter requires only a minimal number of common tools.

Safety glasses
Always wear eye protection when using any tool.
Two 9/16 inch wrenches
These can be any combination of open end, box end, or socket wrenches.
Two 3/4 inch wrenches
These too can be any combination of open end, box end, or socket wrenches.
A bull pin
This can be any tapered steel rod, such as a drift punch, a center punch, heavy nail set, or heavy screwdriver. It will be used to align holes prior to inserting a bolt.
A hammer drill and 1/2 inch masonry bit
These will be used to drill holes in the concrete slab to which you will mount your keepSafe shelter. The hammer drill can be rented from most tool rental centers, and masonry bits are available at hardware stores and home centers.
